Dr. Peter Cartwright – CEO

Dr Peter Cartwright has been with CIC Higher Education since 2014, first as Director of Higher Education and since 2017 as Executive Dean. Peter has over 25 years’ experience in tertiary education roles.

Prior to coming to CIC Higher Education, Peter was Associate Dean – International and Development at La Trobe University in Melbourne Australia. He has wide experience in international education which has taken him to over 20 countries across Asia, Europe and South America. From 1998 to 1999 he was the Marie Curie European Postdoctoral Fellow in Milan, Italy.

Peter has been a member of various committees and boards including La Trobe University’s International Strategy Committee and is on the TEQSA Register of Experts. Peter’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Honours), PhD from La Trobe University, and Graduate Certificates in Business Administration and Higher Education.

Gerald Ng – Executive Director, Governance and Quality Assurance

Gerald Ng is the Executive Director, Governance and Quality Assurance at CIC Higher Education where he has oversight of governance processes and is responsible for quality management. Gerald has extensive experience in the higher education

sector and has previously held leadership positions at the Australian Institute of Higher Education and Kaplan Australia. He is passionate about education and committed to providing students with a quality educational experience at CIC Higher Education.


Francesca Macpherson – General Manager

Mrs Francesca Macpherson has been with CIC Higher Education since 2014, first as Client Relations Manager then Campus Manager and since mid-2018 as General Manager.

Francesca has 10 years’ experience in international education in the private sector, her experience ranges from Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions, Compliance and Campus Management.
Francesca believes in the significance of education to develop human potential and is passionate about providing international students access to quality and economically attainable tertiary education. With her passion and commitment to making quality education globally accessible, Francesca sees herself working in the industry for the next 10 years
